Tiangco leads symposium on disaster management

Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco spearheaded the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Symposium, which was attended by students.

“Patuloy nating pinalalakas ang kahandaan ng ating mga kabataan sa panahon ng sakuna sa pamamagitan ng Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Symposium bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng National Disaster Resilience Month,” Tiangco said.

“Mahalaga na habang bata pa, alam na nila ang tamang paghahanda at tamang gawin sa pagdating ng anumang kalamidad,” he added.

Tiangco said that he’s glad to see the active participation of the students during the symposium as he hopes that they learned a lot from the program.

“Masaya tayong makita ang aktibong pakikilahok ng ating mga estudyante at kabataan. Umaasa tayo na ang mga natutunan nila ay maibabahagi rin sa kanilang pamilya, mga kaibigan, at komunidad,” said Tiangco.

“Maraming salamat din sa mga ahensya at organisasyon na nagbahagi ng kanilang best practices sa mga kalahok,” he added.
