Mayor Calixto-Rubiano Leads Pasay’s 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan Deliberation

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano spearheaded the deliberation of the city’s 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan to identify and evaluate long-term strategies for proper waste management across the municipality. The initiative focuses on formulating sustainable solutions to effectively address environmental and sanitation challenges facing local communities.

Through this comprehensive framework, the local government aims to strengthen waste segregation, recycling, and reduction programs in close collaboration with barangay officials and residents. “Naniniwala tayo na ang maayos na pamamahala sa ating kapaligiran ngayon ang magtitiyak ng mas malusog at ligtas na bukas para sa mga susunod na henerasyon (We believe that proper environmental management today will ensure a healthier and safer tomorrow for future generations),” Mayor Calixto-Rubiano emphasized.

The city chief executive extended her appreciation to the Pasay City Environment and Natural Resources Office (PCENRO) and participating stakeholders from various sectors for contributing to the meaningful discussion. Their joint efforts reflect a unified commitment to establishing structured, long-term environmental policies for the entire city.

Calling for continued community support, Mayor Calixto-Rubiano urged all Pasayeños to actively participate in local environmental programs to foster a cleaner living space. “Sama-sama tayong magtulungan para sa isang Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Pasay! (Let us work together for an Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Pasay!),” she urged.
