More than 17,000 students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMUN) are now enjoying upgraded and modernized campus facilities, Mayor Ruffy Biazon said.
Biazon recalled his first visit to the city-run university after assuming office, saying he recognized the capabilities of PLMUN students, but noted that the campus facilities at the time did not reflect their potential.
“First time ko mabisita ang PLMUN as Mayor, kitang-kita ko agad kung gaano kagagaling ang students natin. But the facilities were definitely not giving, and definitely not kinda chic,” he said.
“Sabi ko noon, we need to elevate the standard. Our youth shouldn’t be struggling in outdated rooms when they have so much potential to offer Muntinlupa,” Biazon said.
Since then, the city government has undertaken upgrades aimed at transforming the university into a more conducive environment for learning.
“Fast forward today: over 17,000 PLMUNians are stepping into upgraded, modern facilities built for innovation and leadership! Every peso you pay comes full circle to give our youth an environment that is inspiring, functional, and kinda chic,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude to residents for their continued support of local government programs and initiatives.
“Very aesthetic, very deserve! Thank you for building a better city with us!” the mayor said.
