Ligtas at handa: Mayor Emi eads disaster training seminar for District 1 leaders

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano attended the Training Seminar for Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM) 2026 for District 1 barangay officials.

The capacity-building activity focused on equipping community leaders with modern skills and strategies to prepare for emergencies.

The seminar aimed to share proper protocols and updated knowledge to ensure swift and effective disaster response across the district’s neighborhoods.

Mayor Calixto-Rubiano emphasized the importance of empowering local officials to protect residents during critical times.

“Layunin ng seminar na ito na ibahagi ang mga tamang hakbang, estratehiya, at modernong kaalaman sa ating mga barangay leaders sa District 1 upang maging mabilis at epektibo ang ating pag-agapay at pagprotekta sa ating mga mamamayan sa oras ng pangangailangan,” (“The purpose of this seminar is to share the proper steps, strategies, and modern knowledge with our barangay leaders in District 1 so that our assistance and protection for our citizens will be fast and effective in times of need,”) Mayor Calixto-Rubiano stated.

The city chief executive expressed her gratitude to the local leaders for their unwavering dedication to disaster preparedness.

“Saludo po tayo sa ating mga barangay officials sa District 1 sa inyong walang sawang tapat na paglilingkod at pakikiisa para sa isang resilient at ligtas na Pasay!” (“We salute our barangay officials in District 1 for your tireless, faithful service and unity toward a resilient and safe Pasay!”) Mayor Calixto-Rubiano added.
