Biazon Inspects Pilot Class of Muntinlupa’s ‘Sentrong Kakayahan’ for Kids with Special Needs

Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon personally observed the pilot class of the Inclusive Learning Resource Center (ILRC): Sentrong Kakayahan, a specialized city-built facility dedicated to supporting local children with special needs.

The inaugural pilot batch consists of 39 children who were referred by the Early Childhood Education Division after showing developmental delays or red flags.

In a Facebook post, Mayor Biazon explained that participants will undergo a series of interactive learning sessions and physical activities under the Domain Mastery Program (DMP) targeting seven key areas of child growth and development. Highlighting the program’s accessibility and diagnostic role, Mayor Biazon stated, “Pinakamaganda rito, libre ang lahat. Through DMP, dito rin sila mae-evaluate para matukoy kung anong interventions ang pinakaangkop sa kanilang pangangailangan (The best part about this is that everything is free. Through DMP, they will also be evaluated here to determine which interventions are most appropriate for their needs).”

Looking ahead, the local chief executive emphasized his goal to expand the facility’s overall reach across the city. “At ang goal natin ay mapalawak pa ang capacity ng ILRC para mas maraming bata at pamilya ang magkaroon ng libreng access sa assessment at interventions na kailangan nila (And our goal is to further expand the capacity of the ILRC so that more children and families can have free access to the assessments and interventions they need),” Mayor Biazon concluded.
