Calixto-Rubiano Crushes Illegal Gambling Machines to Promote Law and Order

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano led the formal destruction and demolition of confiscated video karera and other illegal gambling machines during the city’s weekly flag-raising ceremony on Monday morning. The public disposal underscores the local government’s intensified crackdown against illicit gaming operations embedded within local neighborhoods.

The local chief executive highlighted the event as a call to action for the entire community to maintain peace and order. “Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang ligtas at masunurin sa batas na Lungsod ng Pasay! (Together, let us uphold a safe and law-abiding City of Pasay!)” Mayor Calixto-Rubiano declared.

The proactive campaign aims to eliminate illegal street gambling venues that attract minors and breed petty crimes across various barangays. City officials assured residents that routine operations will persist to rid Pasay streets of unauthorized gaming setups.

By conducting the demolition out in the open, the city administration sent a clear warning to operators that violations of municipal laws will not be tolerated. Mayor Calixto-Rubiano concluded by wishing everyone a happy and productive week ahead as they work toward a safer community.
