Malapitan inspects city’s disaster response equipment

Caloocan City Mayor Dale “Along” Malapitan has inspected the disaster response equipment of the city as it gears up for Super Typhoon Inday.

“Ininspeksyon natin ang mga kagamitan para sa pagtugon sa anumang sakuna na maaaring idulot ng bagyong #IndayPH sa lungsod,” said Malapitan.

“Kabilang dito ang rescue boats, rescue ropes, life vests, life ring, life saving robot, emergency power stations, floating water pumps, communication radios, floodlights, at iba pang equipment na nakahandang gamitin sa search and rescue operations,” he added.

“Katuwang ang City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department, tinitiyak natin na kumpleto at nakaantabay ang ating mga kagamitan upang agad na tumugon at tumulong sa ating mga kababayan kung kinakailangan,” he continued.

Malapitan also led the Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) Meeting to discuss the city government’s response plan.

“Sa pamamagitan ng maayos na koordinasyon at maagap na pagpaplano, mas magiging handa tayong protektahan ang bawat Batang Kankaloo,” said Malapitan.

“Manatili pong nakaantabay sa ating mga anunsyo at inaasahan ko po ang inyong buong kooperasyon para sa kaligtasan ng bawat komunidad,” he added.
