MUNWalkers are Here! Buli Students Get First Shot on New Kicks

Excitement filled the air at Buli Elementary School (BES) as its young learners became the very first recipients of the city’s highly anticipated “MUNWalk” sneakers. In a Facebook post, Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon said a total of 1,559 pairs of brand-new rubber shoes were officially delivered to the school, marking the grand kickoff of a city-wide distribution aimed at putting a fresh bounce in the step of Muntinlupa’s public school students.

“Buwena mano sa MUNWalk sneakers ang Buli Elementary School!… Konting hintay na lang, papunta na rin ang MUNWalk sneakers ninyo! (Buli Elementary School gets the first batch of MUNWalk sneakers!… Just a little more waiting, your MUNWalk sneakers are already on the way),” Biazon announced.

The initial rollout at BES is just the beginning of a massive local government educational support initiative. Biazon revealed that the local government is targeting a staggering total of 89,500 pairs of sneakers to be distributed to students across the city. For families still eagerly waiting for their turn, the mayor extended a message of reassurance.

The MUNWalk sneakers project is an innovative component of Muntinlupa City’s comprehensive Balik Eskwela (Back to School) package program. Aimed at easing the financial burden on local parents, the city government transitions between school necessities based on current student needs.
