Walang Maiiwan: Sandoval Bolsters Financial Aid to Vulnerable Sectors

Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to mental health and inclusivity by leading a targeted financial assistance distribution for vulnerable sectors. Through the coordination of the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO), the city government provided cash aid to 100 indigent residents living with psychosocial disabilities. The initiative aims to alleviate daily expenses and directly support the healthcare and overall well-being of the beneficiaries.

In a Facebook post, Sandoval highlighted that the program is part of a broader vision to establish an equitable local governance structure where vulnerable sectors are actively prioritized. “Naniniwala po tayo na ang isang tunay na inklusibong pamahalaan ay walang iniiwan (We believe that a truly inclusive government leaves no one behind),” Sandoval stated.

The social services caravan reflects the city’s proactive stance on strengthening social protection mechanisms for residents facing mental health challenges. Local authorities emphasized that the cash vouchers are designed to provide immediate relief for basic necessities, medical maintenance, and other specialized therapeutic needs. By mobilizing PDAO, Malabon ensures that marginalized individuals are given accessible institutional backing directly from city hall.

The local chief executive reiterated her dedication to creating a compassionate environment where no Malabueño is overlooked. “Kaya naman patuloy nating isinusulong ang mga programang nagbibigay ng proteksiyong panlipunan at pagkakataong magkaroon ng mas maayos na buhay ang bawat Malabueño (That is why we continue to promote programs that provide social protection and the opportunity for every Malabueño to have a better life),” Sandoval said.
